Why did the customer contact us?
The customer accidentally removed their full pay discounted rate from their commercial auto account, which unintentionally increased their premium. This caused confusion and concern about the unexpected higher cost on their billing.
Solutions provided:
I contacted the insurance carrier and explained that the customer did not intend to remove the full pay discount while also adding EFT to their billing. The carrier’s customer service was able to override the error and eliminate the nearly $800 additional premium that was generated. The customer was very appreciative, expressing gratitude for the quick resolution and friendly assistance. They were relieved that the premium was corrected without additional cost.
