The customer has a general liability renewal approaching, and during our phone call, I inquired about whether he had commercial auto coverage. He mentioned that his business vehicles were currently insured under a personal policy.
Solutions provided:
I explained that if he were involved in an accident and it was proven the vehicle was being used for business, his personal policy might not cover the claim. I offered to connect him with a senior agent who could provide quotes for proper commercial auto coverage. The customer was surprised to learn his current setup could leave him uncovered and was glad we brought it to his attention. He agreed to have us quote commercial auto coverage to protect his business properly.
