The customer's renewal premium increased significantly, and they were frusturated because they had no claims or violations. They wanted to know if anything could be done to bring the cost down.
Solutions provided:
I contacted the insurance carrier to investigate the reason behind the increase and discovered that a questionnaire was required to potentially lower the rate. I promptly sent the rate to the customer, and once completed, submitted it to the underwriter for review. The customer was happy to hear that the renewal could now be re-rated based on the new information. They were relieved to have a chance at a more affordable premium.
