Business Insurance in Beaumont, Texas

You've worked hard all your life and finally attained the business of your dreams. Whether it's owning a small restaurant or a clothing shop, or managing a bar or maybe even a little of everything, you have it and you want to keep your business running for as long as possible. But, fact of the matter is, no matter how good you are or how well you try to keep your shop accident-free, accidents happen. Maybe one day a customer slips in a puddle, or a sleepy worker knocks over a delicate display and sends merchandise falling to the ground, or your pet accidentally knocks a piece of merchandise that you were supposed to repair for your customer and renders it broken--that means you could be paying for damages out of your own pocket.

While you may be able to pay off a few accidents that happen, it can put a large dent in your business capital that could be better used elsewhere.

This is why having business insurance comes in handy. Look at it this way: having insurance is a way to protect not only your customers but yourself. When these accidents do happen, you can be sure that you don't have to pay all on your own.

Beaumont's early history centered around the development of lumber, farming and port industries. Later on, he decided to support rice culture by organizing an irrigation authority. One of the biggest changes in the city occurred in 1901 with the arrival of the Spindletop gusher, where they found that Beaumont possessed a large oil field. After that, the area dramatically transformed into one of the major petro-chemical refining areas in the country. Together with Port Arthur and Orange, Beaumont form a Golden Triangle, making it a major industrial area on the Gulf Coast.

The Gulf States Utilities has its headquarters in Beaumont until it was absorbed by the Entergy Corporation in 1993. With the addition of Spindletop, Beaumont became a place to start several energy companies, and while some may have shut down, there are those that still persevere today.

The South Texas State Fair and Rodeo calls Beaumont its home and is held every March at Ford Park. It's known for being the second-largest fair in the entire state, and in 2009 attracted half a million visitors.
