While reviewing the renewal, it was discovered that the customer’s policy had been cancelled in error by the managing general agency. This unexpected cancellation put the customer at risk of a coverage lapse, and they were understandably concerned.
Solutions provided:
I collaborated with the customer and the general agency to address the issue and worked directly with the carrier to request a backdated reinstatement. The carrier agreed to reinstate the policy with no lapse, pending only a signed no-loss statement from the customer. The customer was relieved and pleased that we were able to quickly resolve the issue and restore their coverage without interruption. They were especially grateful that the renewal offer was preserved and their operations could continue without risk.
